A virtual assistant can mean doing various things and wearing many hats. Each person has their own definition of what a virtual assistant does. But the basics, is a virtual assistant HELPS business owners. They help with taking tasks off business owners plates; they do the legwork so they can focus on the bigger picture.
What a virtual assistant can do is different for each person/client. Some virtual assistants have a niche, some have a broad range of services. For one client they might help with bookkeeping, for another they might do social media. It all depends on what you want to offer. There is no right or wrong service offerings it depends on you, and what your talents are. You will find the perfect clients to match what you are offering, they are out there I PROMISE!
The key is to focus and offer things your good at, it is okay to say “I don’t offer that” or even “I’ve never done that before but I would be happy to try to help”. You are a person, people will understand, you don’t know everything, technology is always changing.

Think about what you would want help with if you were looking for a VA
What are your strengths and weaknesses
What can you bring to the table
What makes you unique
What type of businesses do you want to help
Do you have any past job experience in these fields that can put you ahead of the competition (example, marketing, or restaurant management there are both great things to talk about especially if you will be focusing on a niche it’s great to see that you’ve done work in that field so you understand more of the day to day)
Overall, virtual assistants are the backbone to a lot of businesses, they help business owners with many things and are a great asset to any company.
